Rain, Rain, Go Away; Especially on my Wedding Day

You’ve been dreaming of this moment for years. You’ve found your perfect partner, and have dedicated your lives to one another. You’ve spent the last year or so planning out what is going to be one of the best most memorable days of your life. The day finally comes, and it’s raining outside. What do you do now?

If you are planning your wedding in Sunny Southern California, this is not something that you typically have to worry about. However, there are a few months in the year that you should definitely either have a back up plan, or plan for an indoor wedding. Given the weather these past few weeks, let’s take a look at some of our favorite indoor weddings of years past.

Mission Inn Wedding | Keyla & Roeben

In an effort to completely escape the elements, you can opt for an indoor ceremony and reception. In the Mission Inn Wedding with Keyla and Roeben, their wedding encapsulated old hollywood glamour with rich hues, the vibrant backdrop, and overall luxe ambiance. The extensive venue space provided all the room for the most enjoyable night celebrating the love of Keyla and Roeben without having to worry about the weather ailments.

Calamigos Ranch Wedding | Logan & Jordan

If you have your heart set on an outdoor venue but are worried about a possible weather interference, opt for a weatherproof tent to house your guests in. You can bring the luxury inside the tent elevating the overall feel of your event by adding extra drapery, mirrors, and decor on the walls. The wedding of Logan and Jordan was the perfect essence of both indoors and outdoors while keeping your guests covered from any possible rain.

Calamigos Ranch Wedding | Nicole & Alan

If you are looking for a woodsy, outdoor vibe, consider an indoor venue with decor similar to a cabin. Nicole and Alan were able to recreate this look at their Calamigos Ranch Wedding. The ceremony was located in front of a rock-covered fireplace which emulated the coziness of a cottage whilst providing the warmth and comfort for their guests. One of our favorite parts of this venue is the bookshelf against the barrel-covered wall providing a rustic elegance that romanticizes the atmosphere.

Overall, if your wedding is going to be at a time where the weather may be unpredictable, there are plenty of gorgeous ways to plan around this. Always be sure to discuss with your Wedding Planner the options for a Plan B in the case of rain or other weather ailments.
